The government has canceled the declaration of the Daily ‘Jaijaidin’ newspaper following allegations of publishing violations.

The decision was made after former editor Shafik Rehman filed a complaint regarding these violations.

According to an office order signed by Dhaka District Magistrate and District Commissioner Tanveer Ahmed on Wednesday, the newspaper is no longer being printed at its authorized press.

However, Shafik Rehman has claimed that false information is still being printed on the printers‍‍` line.

The office order also mentions that after reviewing the complaint, issuing a show-cause notice, and taking the necessary steps, the allegations were confirmed to be true.

As a result, the printing declaration for the Daily ‘Jaijaidin’ has been officially revoked.

The revocation stems from the violation of Section 10 of the Printing and Publication (Declaration and Registration) Act of 1973.

As a result, the declaration for the publisher and printer, Saeed Hossain Chowdhury, has also been canceled.

This decision follows concerns over publishing irregularities and the government‍‍`s efforts to ensure the accuracy of information in the press.
